Food is love. That’s why when you feed your family, you opt for healthy, delicious food that will nourish them and help them live a long, happy life. If you think about it, your pets are no different. When deciding what pet food to purchase, many pet owners opt for big commercial brands that advertise complete and balanced diets with added vitamins and minerals. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we’ve been misled.

The standards for pet food are extremely low. Yet, high dollar advertising and clever marketing ploys will make the best intentioned pet owner believe they are buying the best of the best for their fur baby. The truth of the matter is it all comes down to money. Pet food manufacturers routinely use low-grade (cheap) ingredients to make your pet’s food despite their damaging long-term effects. What’s even more disturbing is that these ingredients that have been proven to cause the likes of organ failure, cancer, and death are 100% legal. Knowledge is power. Protect your pet by reading SimpleWag’s 7 Deadly Ingredients infographic.
