Starting as a volunteer in a veterinary clinic at the age of 15, Dr. Christopher Smith has devoted his life and passion to helping pets and the people who love them.
Dr. Chris worked through his high school and college years in a veterinary hospital and graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1988. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1992 and was a general practitioner and part time emergency veterinarian for 17 years and a full time emergency veterinarian for the past 3 years. He is currently the Medical Director at Valley Central Emergency Veterinary Hospital in Whitehall, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Chris has served as President of his local veterinary association, medical director of two veterinary practices and served as an expert, answering questions from pet owners around the world.
As a member of the Dogington Post team since 2012, Dr. Chris has been answering questions submitted by the site’s readers about their own dog’s health and wellness. He has covered a broad range of topics, including a Pomeranian who is always hungry and a Shepherd mix with separation anxiety.

I was reading your stories on the internet. I have a barker no dog. a German Shepard that we care very well for. In you article you said to get surgery to that could not bark as a last resort. That is the stupidest thing I have ever read as a solution to barking.

i would like to attend this webinar but what time s it pst?….and will it be available for download..A question I have for Dr Chris is my dog has yeast infection in ears and only flares up through eating wheat..is this common?
