Have you ever wondered what your dog does while you’re away?
Rodd Scheinerman’s Beagle, Lucy, is quite the clever girl! After coming home to find things out of order (and missing food!), Rodd set up a video camera to record Lucy’s antics.
Check out the hilarious video below to see her in action!

This design iis incredible! You obviously know how to keep a
reader amused. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Wonderful job.
I really loved what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it.
Too cool!

Howdy great blog! Does running a blog similar to this require a great deal of work?
I have very little understanding of programming
but I had been hoping to start my own bllog soon.
Anyhow, should you have any recommendations or tips for new blog owners please share.
I know this is off topic nevertheless I simply needed to ask.
Thanks a lot!

Who says dogs don’t use tools? That chair is a tool, imo!

I have child proof locks on my cabinets because my basset hounds like to play with the pots and pans and they know how to use their long skinny nose to flip open the doors. They don’t bother the cleaning supplies other than they do pull out all the dust cloths – like maybe they are trying to tell me to get busy.I put a camera used in the woods on my dogs just to see what they do when I’m gone and I found out they aggravate each other just because they can. And when they pee on the floor, they always flip the rugs over, pee and put the rugs back down. So when I am scolding them and saying don’t pee on the rugs, they can honestly tell me they don’t. I have found animals to be much smarter than humans can ever hope to be.

My 7 year old sheltie COULD open the fridge, cupboards and toaster oven to get food but she knows that’s wrong. She even leaves the leftover bowl of cat kibble alone (although she makes little grunts and whines to let you know she’s not happy).

Hmmm…. looks to me like the dog was trained to do this. Why else would there be food in the toaster oven?

They may have put something in the toaster oven to protect it from the dog. I often set food inside the microwave to keep our cats from getting into it.

When our pitbull was about 2 years old I discovered he had stood at the kitchen counter and ate the rest of the lasagna right out of the pan. Never knocked the pan or the serving spoon to the floor. Never heard him doing it as I was home.

Do you think he might be bored? Beagles are hunting dogs and if you don’t give them something to do they go nuts! Put a treat inside a box inside a box inside a box etc. That should keep him entertained for a while. They are also food driven hounds. He needs some stimulation. TV on? Music? Toys?

I was wondering the same thing. That is an intelligent and bored dog. Maybe a Kong with frozen banana & peanut butter, etc., while the family is away.

Once years ago I came right back into my house & there was my big Akita on the dining room table! I don’t know who was MORE surprised! It was funny – she just was walking around it looking.

My beagle has learned to open the refrigerator door. He recently ate a pork roast.
