When officers searching desperately for survivors of a deadly landslide in Salgar, Colombia on Monday saw a dog barely clinging to life, they quickly took action.
In the video above, a Colombian police officer is seen jumping into the rushing water, risking his own life to save the drowning dog.
After a few moments of mouth-to-snout resuscitation by the dog-loving officer, the dog began breathing on his own.
The daring and successful rescue was a welcomed moment of happiness for officers continuing in their search for survivors of the landslide that took the lives of at least 80 people.
