Atlanta police need help finding the person(s) who intentionally placed a dog in a hot car, rolled up all the windows, and left him to die.
When the dog’s owner, Marlon Crutcher, left for work last month, he left his dog, Blue, tethered to his porch. When he returned home that evening, he found Blue inside an abandoned car in the apartment complex parking lot, dead from apparent heat exhaustion.
“The dog was deceased,” Sgt. Greg Lyon explained to WXIA. “It had been well over 90-degrees that day, so sometime when he was away at work, or gone for the day, someone had taken his dog, put him inside this car, rolled the windows up and secured the vehicle.”
Whoever did this, police said, did it intentionally. And, now they’re looking for any help they can get in solving the crime. Police have enlisted the help of Crime Stoppers who are offering a reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
