Phoenix Police have arrested a man whose dog died in the back of his hot car while he sat inside a sports bar for more than 4 hours.
Peter Belford parked outside Gallagher’s Sports Bar in Scottsdale, rolled down the rear windows about halfway, and went inside, leaving his Black Labrador alone in the car.
After 2 hours, Belford came outside to give the dog water. After another 2 hours, he returned to the car to find his dog had died.
Belford’s wife contacted police who arrested him on one count of animal cruelty.

Good for the wife for reporting him to the police.
