When a stray dog was found wandering the streets of Springfield, Missouri, she was picked up and brought to the Springfield Animal Shelter where workers scanned her for a microchip but found none.
With no information about the dog and no owner stepping forward to claim her, the Pit Bull was scheduled for euthanasia.
Luckily, just before she was scheduled to be put to sleep, a rescue group stepped in and scanned her for a microchip one more time. This time, they had a hit!
Her name is Mayhem and she’d been missing from her Arizona home for more than 3 years!
Today, Mayhem is happily back in her loving family’s home in Arizona.
