Massachusetts police were called to the parking lot of an outlet mall to rescue a dog found locked inside a hot car while his owner shopped inside.
It was 88-degrees outside when Wrentham Police were called to a Massachusetts outlet mall to rescue a distressed golden retriever locked inside a car in the shopping center’s parking lot.
The police department took to Facebook to blast the irresponsible dog owner and warn residents of the dangers of hot cars.
The post reads:
“AGAIN! DOG LEFT IN CAR!!
88 degrees outside. When will people learn? The temp inside your car soars over 100 degrees! Why would you leave your beloved pet “member of the family” in a car like this?! Dog is safe and cool now. Resting at police station. Owner will find an empty car when they’re done shopping. Charges awaiting.”
According to police, the dog owner will be facing animal cruelty charges.
