An animal-loving bride and groom were just about to tie the knot at their outdoor nuptials when a stray dog crashed the wedding and found himself a forever home!

When the time came for Marilia and Matheus Pieroni to walk down the aisle at their outdoor wedding in Sao Paulo, Brazil, mother nature had other plans – rain. As a backup plan, family and friends gathered beneath a tent to watch the happy couple take their vows.

As the wedding got underway, a stray dog took shelter from the rain, too, joining guests beneath the tent. The dog was escorted out of the ceremony twice before sneaking in a third time and making himself comfortable – right on the bride’s long, white lace veil!

“It was a very pleasant surprise for me because I love animals,” Marilia told The Dodo.

But, as soon as the storm passed and the rain stopped, the canine wedding crasher wandered away from the festivities. However, the persistent pup had not only made their wedding more memorable, he’d left a lasting impression on the newlyweds who became determined to find him and give him a home.

After weeks of searching for the dog, the Pieroni’s were reunited with their four-legged freeloader. They named him Snoop, and made him the newest member of their beautiful new family.
