Eddie Van Halen, the legendary lead guitarist and keyboardist for rock band, Van Halen, was caught on camera by TMZ, cradling his adorable tiny Pomeranian, Kody in New York City this week.

Eddie told TMZ he’s not ashamed of his tiny pocket pooch, saying, “I love the little guy no matter what other people think.”

Many are shocked at the rocker’s choice of dog, expecting someone so hardcore to choose a pet with more punch. We think Kody’s the perfect choice, just the right size for a tour bus! And, we hear he takes great care of his dog – giving him lots of love and plenty of walks.

Rumor has it that one of Eddie Van Halen’s previous pooches lent his howls to the background of the Van Halen instrumental song, Baluchitherium.

See if you can hear the howls in this song, from Van Halen’s 1995 album, Balance.

What do you think of Eddie Van Halen’s tiny dog, Kody? We love a rock star that isn’t afraid to show his sensitive side with a purse-sized pooch!
