Golden Retrievers gathered and had an absolute blast in Southern California on April 02 at the annual Goldie Palooza event.
At the Goldie Palooza 2023 (aka the happiest event on earth), held at the Lakeview Park, a total of 936 Goldies were in attendance.
A red carpet was prepared for the golden stars of the day and a lot of activities were prepared at the paw-some festival.
According to Goldie Palooza’s press release, “Our goal with Goldie Palooza 2023 is to bring together as many fun-loving Golden Retrievers in one place to celebrate Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue’s 15th Anniversary.”
Aside from Golden Retrievers meeting old and new friends at the venue, they were also able to enjoy scent work, barn hunt, rattlesnake avoidance training, yoga with the pups, photo ops and food trucks among other things.

However, this year’s festival isn’t only just for the “Golden vibes”. This is because proceeds from the Goldie Palooza 2023 festival will go to the following nonprofit organizations: Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue, Golden Retriever Club of Greater Los Angeles Rescue and Golden Bond Rescue.
A family in South Bay started a community for Golden Retrievers and had their first meet up in 2016. The family vowed to expand the Golden community, and seven years later, the meet up has become a renowned festival around the world known as Goldie Palooza.
Goldie Palooza is one of the biggest Golden Retriever festival in the world. In 2018, it broke the world record for most Golden Retrievers in one place with 681 Golden Retrievers in attendance.
