A dog that was previously caught on camera being dumped over a fence by a man at the Humane Society of Atlantic County finally gets to go to her forever home.

On July 18, the animal shelter posted a video on their Facebook page showing a man throwing his dog over the fence and proceeding to walk away from the shelter’s fence.

“This is the 4th dog dumped over our fence by this individual in the middle of the night,” the Humane Society of Atlantic County wrote.

The animal shelter had asked the public for help in identifying the man and described him as someone who drives a black Cadillac sedan.

On the other hand, not much is known about the pup, previously named Brenda and now named Snookie, who was a young Pit Bull with two big, distinct scarring on her back.

While the animal shelter is still looking for the man, things got a lot better for Snookie after the animal shelter shared a “heartwarming update” about her on July 29.

The animal shelter revealed that Snookie’s new family flew in from Texas just to adopt the sweet girl. They wrote that the family “fell in love with her at first sight” when they saw the pooch.

“Safe travels, Brenda, you deserve all the love in the world!” the animal shelter wrote.

In a new post on September 20, the Humane Society of Atlantic County shared an update on Snookie’s life.

The update came with a video of Snookie playing with one of her brothers in their backyard in Texas that has a pool specially made for dogs.

“Remember the dog that was thrown over the fence? Here she is, now named Snookie, with one of her two new brothers,” the animal shelter wrote. “We are thrilled that Snookie has such an amazing life and loving family now.”

Users who followed Snookie’s story can’t help but congratulate the pooch on the new life she’s living.

One user wrote, “That’s a happy ending for sure. So excited for the pup.” While another wrote, “This makes my heart happy! Happy Life Snookie! You deserve this.”

Others didn’t forget to thank the shelter for helping Snookie find her happily ever after. “Thank you for the incredible work you do every day! Your entire staff is phenomenal!” a user wrote.
