This is a true story about an amazing dog, her owners and the veterinarians who refused to give up. Zena is a female Mastiff who is being called the Miracle Dog Zena after overcoming suffering from diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism, a cancer that is usually fatal, and other serious health issues.
Miracle Dog Zena
Her owner began her treatments by following the veterinarian’s recommendations and began giving Zena insulin shots twice a day; however Zena’s diabetes continued to grow more acute. With her owner running out of options, she contacted a vet familiar with treating these conditions holistically. Using an all-natural medication for regulating blood sugar in combination with carbohydrate free raw food diet, Zena became well!
A few years later Zena developed an oral tumor, also known as lymphoma of the heard palate, a non-curable illness. Zena’s owners now had the option of radiation treatment but it would not totally cure Zena, as the tumor would return and possible spread to other areas of her body. Now several years older, she also suffered from painful arthritis of the rear hip joints and was slowly going blind. Zena’s condition was such that she was in constant pain so the vet began a robust treatment plan.
Radiation treatments were started as well as using the Chinese herb Yunnan in combination with olive leaf for her bacterial infection of the sinuses brought on by the tumor. She was now put on an exercise plan along with Adequan and a GLC medication to help with her arthritis and rebuild bone strength. Paiyao also played a part in reducing her nose bleeds brought on by the sinus condition, causing her to sneeze a lot.
After four weeks of radiation treatments her tumor was reduced by 30%, but she developed eye ulcerations due to the radiation treatments. She was now able to return home as the vet began aggressive treatment for her immune system with Stasis Breaker and Wei Qi Booster.
Zena slowly began to get better, and her eye condition improved dramatically. Also the bacterial infection in her sinuses has been cured, and the tumor appears to be in total remission! Because she is a large breed of dog the treatments for her deteriorated bones is continuing as well as her exercise regime.
The Miracle Dog Zena has been quite well for many months and her overall condition continues to improve. Thanks to very caring parents and extremely committed veterinarians she now has a very bright outlook for a pain free life and continued good health.
I’ve never been aware of a dog with so many serious health issues recovering like Miracle Dog Zena. How about you?
