While no one knows for sure what this dog is thinking, we can’t help but believe he’s sincerely trying to save these fish from dying.

Watch as this compassionate dog, who somehow knows that fish need water to survive, tries to give several gasping fish lying on a dock some water.

He seems almost desperate in his attempt, stopping only to look up at the heartless humans filming the entire event as if to say, “are you just gonna stand there and watch?”

Do you think dogs understand life and compassion? Or, do you think something else is happening here? Weigh in!

They have an uncanny way of understanding things, a sense that we just don’t understand. They are amazing creatures. My husband saved our poodle’s life and after that time, our little poodle somehow understood what he did for her so she would always want to be next to him whenever he was around.
You are so right about pointing out the “heartless humans”! I can’t understand why people can stop to record something but can’t stop to help or save a life.

Yes, dogs as well as other animals understand a great deal more than we give them credit for. Right now my dog Scarlett is lying beside me and hasn’t left my side for a few days now. Why? I think she knows that I am leaving for college and this is her way of spending time with me.
