Pets with diabetes should have as pure a protein diet as possible, thus staying away from anything that would raise their blood sugar. By doing so, I have kept my diabetic cat alive for 9 years giving him only tuna, liver, chicken and turkey (as well as insulin twice a day). The honey is a definite no, no, carrots turn to sugar, some peanut butter has sugar added and the flour is not good either. I would try making a liver based treat.
