Add this newly uncovered Beagle experiment to the growing list of cruel and unnecessary procedures performed by researchers and funded with your tax dollars.

New documents uncovered by White Coat Waste Project, a taxpayer watchdog group with a mission to expose and bring an end to taxpayer-funded animal experiments, reveal a Fauci-funded experiment in which 10 beagles were intentionally infected with 200 heartworm larvae. After the worms fed on the dogs’ hearts and lungs, the dogs were killed.

In the latest experiment unearthed by WCW, 10 Beagles were intentionally infected with 200 heartworm larvae. After the worms fed on the dogs’ hearts and lungs for six full months, the worms were saved…but the dogs were killed.

The Beagles who were infected with parasites in the most recently exposed taxpayer-funded experiments likely suffered with symptoms of heartworm infection including a persistent cough, fatigue, decreased appetite, and weight loss for months before they were killed.

“Wasting our tax dollars to treat beagles like heartworm factories and then kill them when they aren’t useful anymore is the SIXTH #BeagleGate atrocity we’ve exposed in this scandal,” said Ann Marie Dori, Manager at taxpayer watchdog group, White Coat Waste Project. “We’ve also documented — and NIAID has admitted — that Fauci funded gruesome experiments entailing de-barking dogs, poisoning puppies, and infesting beagles with flies and ticks. Polls show that 71% of Democrats and 62% of Republicans want to defund Fauci’s dog abuse. Taxpayers don’t want to foot the bill for wasteful government spending on animal experimentation.”

Beagles are commonly used in animal testing and research for the same reasons they make such wonderful companions. They are small in size, docile, have a gentle nature, and don’t typically bite, even when being hurt. More than 75,000 are used in experiments each year in the United States alone, to test anything from cosmetics to medications and household chemicals.

“NIH, including Anthony Fauci’s division, have known for at least a decade that experiments on animals are failing to help humans and animals. There is no excuse for any experiment on dogs, monkeys, cats, rabbits, mice, or any animal,” Kathy Guillermo, senior vice president of PETA, told the Daily Caller

How can you help? TAKE ACTION! Tell Congress that you don’t want your tax dollars wasted on abusing dogs and puppies in cruel and unnecessary experiments!
