Looking for a cute way to celebrate your dog’s birthday? Why  not honor your pup’s big day by baking him some dog-safe cupcakes…er, Pupcakes!

We love this recipe from Bunny Roo Beagle:

Ingredients:
1/2 Cup All purpose flour
1 Cup Whole wheat flour
1/2 Cup Cornmeal
1 tsp Baking soda
1 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp Molasses
1/4 Cup Honey
1 Egg
1 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Diced, cooked chicken

Frosting:
8 oz Lowfat cream cheese
2 tbs Honey
1/3 c Vegetable oil

Cake: In a large bowl, combine all dry ingredients and mix well. Next, add the honey, molasses, egg and water and mix for two minutes. Finally, slowly mix in diced chicken. Pour mixture into cupcake papers and cook at 350 for 20-25 minutes.

Frosting: Combine softened cream cheese, honey and oil. Beat until mixture forms a frosting-like consistency.

Be sure to come back and let us know how your dog enjoyed his birthday treat!
