He’s not the first celebrity to get a marriage request via YouTube, but he IS the first dog to get one!

Bo Obama, the 4-year old Portuguese Water Dog and First Dog of the United States has a not-so-secret admirer in Romona, a Goldendoodle from Oregon.

In the video below, released by the Oregon Humane Society, Romona the Goldendoodle asks First Dog, Bo, to be her date to the upcoming Doggie Dash, an annual event the organization puts on to raise both funds and awareness for local animal rescue groups and shelters.

The event, held May 11 in Portland, Oregon is now in its 26th year of letting dogs take over the streets of downtown Portland. No word yet whether the First Dog will accept Romona’s invitation (to either the event, or to her dreams of marriage).

Check out Romona’s adorable proposal below. And, if you’re in the Portland area – hit downtown on May 11 – you just might get to meet Bo!
