A boy that lost a leg to cancer found friendship in a dog that understands his struggle.

At only 12-years old, Quinn Scharn has been through more than most. A two-time cancer survivor, Quinn recently lost his leg and hip to the disease. When he woke up from surgery, some of the first words out of his mouth were, “I want a 3-legged dog.”

It took a couple of years of searching, but the perfect dog was finally found a few days ago. Quinn’s mom saw a Facebook post for Logan, a three-legged dog in need of a home at the Front Street Animal Shelter in Sacramento, California.

Today, Quinn is finished with surgeries and therapy and is looking forward to many adventures with Logan.
