The Royal Family has welcomed a new member to the family – a Jack Russell Terrier puppy named Bluebell!

Camilla Parker Bowles, the Duchess of Cornwall and wife to Prince Charles, adopted the adorable puppy from the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in England, the same shelter where she found another Jack Russell, Beth, last year.

Bluebell’s short life hasn’t always been lavish. The tiny pup was found abandoned in a park just a few weeks ago, suffering from a severe skin condition that had caused her to lose most of her hair. After being treated by the shelter’s clinic, Bluebell’s hair and her confidence have grown back. This sweet pup is certainly deserving of the pampered life ahead of her.

Claire Horton, Chief Executive of Battersea said of Bluebell and the Duchess, “Once again the Duchess of Cornwall has given a second chance in life to a Battersea dog in need. Bluebell arrived at Battersea having had such an awful start in life, so we couldn’t be happier that she caught the eye of the Duchess and now has such a wonderful home. Bluebell will be an excellent companion for Beth and we’re confident she will bring a lot of pleasure to her new family.”
