Famous Dogs

Rejected by at least two prior owners before being adopted by animal trainer Omar Von Muller, Uggie was a wild and crazy, super energetic pup – but very smart and eager to learn and work.

Uggie began his career in commercials and in minor television and film roles before getting his big break – and first credited role – playing “Queenie” alongside Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon in Water for Elephants. He then played the role of a lifetime and shot to superstardom playing Jack the dog in the award winning hit, The Artist.

Fun Fact: In addition to starring in major motion pictures, Uggie became a spokesdog for Nintendo and an ambassador for shelter dogs for PETA.
