If you guessed Benji, you’re correct!
Animal trainer Frank Inn found the famous canine that first played Benji at the Burbank Animal Shelter as a puppy. A fluffy black-and-tan mixed breed dog, Higgins was marked like a Border Terrier, and Inn believed him to be a mix of Miniature Poodle, Cocker Spaniel, and Schnauzer.
Fun Fact: Following his role in Benji in 1974, Higgins daughter, Benjean, took on the famous role in For the Love of Benji in 1977.
Now, can you guess who this famous movie dog is?
This famous movie pooch began his career in a 1997 comedy based on his own real life! In the movie he played a sports-saavy basketball playing pup.

My favorite famous doggy was Toto. My 9 year old Yorkie Pomeranian named Puppy looks just like Toto.
