An Ohio police officer attempting to shoot a family dog missed and shot a 4-year old girl instead.
An unnamed Columbus Police officer had just finished a follow-up interview with the victim of a hit-and-run accident and was walking back to his patrol car when a neighbor called him over for help.
A woman in the home had accidentally cut herself and needed medical assistance. Noticing a police officer a few doors down, the woman’s sister called out for help.
When the officer reached the front door of the Ellis’ home when, he says, the family’s dog, a mutt, charged at him.
The officer fired his gun at the dog but missed and struck 4-year old Ava Ellis in the right leg.
“At first I thought maybe he’d shot the dog, because she was saying something about ‘Why would you try to shoot the dog?’ and he said something like the dog was attacking him, or something like that. Then, she started saying ‘You shot my kid!'” neighbor Gary Parsley explained to WBNS-10TV.
Neighbors said the officer turned and walked to his patrol car after the shooting.
They also said the Ellis’ have two dogs, both of which have never been a problem.
Four year old Ava was transported to Nationwide Children’s Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
Columbus Police are investigating the shooting.

You have got to wonder how many of these trigger happy cops were hired straight out of Iraq or Afghanistan?

I think cops are getting too paranoid and they reach for their guns and shoot before they realize what is actually happening. I’m so glad that little girl is going to survive. Why didn’t they post they print cop’s name?

Because the officer is bl-ck and nothing can be said about bl-ck police violence or mistreatment to others. Especially with 0bama on the war wagon against whites/whitecops.
