Cute! Service Dog Gets His Caricature Drawn at Disneyland

A family vacationing at Disneyland saw a sight you don’t see very often – a dog having his caricature drawn! They snapped a photo and sent it to their daughter who posted it to Twitter where it quickly – and understandably – went viral.

The dog is Yahoo, a service dog in training with Canine Companions for Independence, a nonprofit organization that helps breed and train assistance dogs, who are then offered to people with disabilities for no cost. Yahoo’s caretaker took him to Disneyland as part of socializing him, and then got his caricature done to have him practice being patient.

“Yahoo is living with a volunteer who is raising him for the first couple of years,” Jeanine Konopelski, a spokesperson for CCI, told BuzzFeed News. “Based on that photo, Yahoo is practicing basic obedience commands as he waits for his photo [to be] taken,” she said. “That’s a perfect training and socialization for one of our dogs to get used to waiting and sitting at attention.”

I think the dog, Yahoo is anxious but excited about the artists’ drawing skills.
