Police in Upper Dublin Township, Pennsylvania are asking for the public’s help in finding the person responsible for leaving a dog trapped inside a metal crate, the crate wrapped in plastic wrap and left along the side of the road to die.

UDT Police posted a public plea to Facebook, hoping someone with information would step forward.

The dog, whose photo is not shown due to the graphic nature, is described as a 6-month to 1-year old female pit bull, brindle in color. The dog was already deceased when she was found.

Upper Dublin Township Police responded to thousands of comments, shares, and concerns from animal advocates with the following update:

“Here’s an update on our investigative efforts: We’ve read your posts, we’ve gotten your tips and continue to press forward with our investigation. This IS the type of investigation where we go all out. In fact, our investigative team is still processing the physical evidence (the crate, the tape, the plastic, the drywall, and more). Our investigators will be reviewing countless hours of video footage, both from that immediate area where she was dumped as well as the surrounding area. Every lead will be followed and every tip investigated in the hopes that we are able to dispense some justice at the conclusion of this case!”

Anyone with information is asked to reach out to the UPDP Detective Division at 215-646-2101.

When people ask me why I say dogs are better than humans, here is a perfect example. I hope this monster is found, not by law enforcemnent, but by a dog/animal lover. They will punish this POS the correct way!!!!! A true punishment would not be just a slap on the wrist, a penalty and/or maybe a short stint in jail, no – this miscreant deserves the punishment to fit the crime!

Please continue to investigate this horrific crime. As long as people think they can get away with actions like this they will continue.
I hope what goes around truly comes around and they get theirs in the end.
