Dog With Two Noses Saved From Death Row by Venice Beach Freakshow Owner

Toby is really no different than any other Australian Shepherd… except that he has two noses!

Todd Ray, owner of a Venice Beach Freakshow in California, adopted Toby after his previous owner abandoned him, leaving him to roam the streets of Fresno, California.

“I’m fascinated by weird animals’ beautiful differences and by the magical lessons that they teach us,” he said. So, naturally he was drawn to Toby. When he called the shelter to ask about the unique dog, he learned that Toby’s time was nearly up, that he was scheduled to be euthanized in only a few hours. Of course Ray rushed to the shelter and saved the deserving boy’s life.

“The sad thing is that, at this time, people are at a place where they will let a two-nosed dog get put down before they will adopt him – only because he looks different.”

Now, happy, healthy, loved, and spoiled, 2-year old “Toby Two-Nose” is living the good life. And, Ray says having two noses doesn’t bother him at all! “As a matter of fact,” he says, “it appears to come in handy when he is searching for his old chewed up ball.”

Now, rather than being shunned for his differences, he’s celebrated!

I’m glad the Ausie was saved; however, it’s interesting that in our overly politically correct world, freak shows for animals are still allowed? How disgusting!

That dog does not have two noses, it is one nose split in the middle… sort of like the Cleft palate.
