October 4th is officially World Animal Day. On a day where the world was celebrating all animals, supermodel Gisele Bündchen was honoring one very special animal – her beloved Yorkshire Terrier, Vida, who passed away last year at over 12-years old.

The world-famous model posted a photo of herself snuggling up to Vida on her Facebook page and wrote, “My best friend, she will always live on in my heart. Let’s never take for granted the unconditional love that our animals show us every single day.”

Bündchen traveled the world with her little dog in her arms. And, when not in her arms, she rode in the basket of the model’s bicycle!

Bündchen and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady have another dog together, a pitbull named Lua.
