Did you know that Miley Cyrus’ boyfriend got a dog for a birthday present? Admitted by the worldwide pop star herself, this has caused stir amongst her fans, especially the dog lovers. She and her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, agreed to name it Ziggy, despite the rumors that the dog will be named Daisy Dukes. Find out more in this hot article from FansShare, where the author tells about how Miley Cyrus’ boyfriend got a dog for a birthday present.

Singer Miley Cyrus has claimed that she brought her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth the best birthday present anybody could ever have, when she brought him a dog. While many people had believed that Liam was going to name the dog Daisy Dukes, Miley shot down these rumors by confirming that the dog will in fact be named Ziggy.

Cyrus tweeted, “Got Liam THE best bday pressie ever! (sic)”. A fan then asked if there was any truth in the fact that Liam had named the dog Daisy Dukes, to which Miley replied, “Liam wanted to name her that! I said NOOO WAY! She’s an angel! She loves her bro & sis too!” Miley Cyrus previously allowed Liam Hemsworth to name her dog Mate back in 2009.

She said at the time, “I just bought a little German shepherd and I named it ‘Mate’ because I always say ‘mate’ now to Liam. So that’s my little German Shepherd dog’s name.” Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have been dating each other for over two years, despite a short term split last year. They met on the set of the movie The Last Song back in 2009.

According to other sources such as from E Online, Ziggy was given on Liam’s 22nd birthday. She even showed a cute little photo of this pooch on Twitter. Isn’t it cute? Although one question arises: why didn’t Miley let her boyfriend name the dog? After all, it is her gift to him and now he owns the dog. But nonetheless, the English bulldog is still a very cute one. I just wonder if Liam really liked the idea of getting a puppy for a birthday present.

This leads to the question of a dog’s environment: since Ziggy originated from a certain environment that is totally different from its new home, will it adjust well to the new surroundings or will it cause a certain psychosocial effect? Giving dogs as a present to another person also has its disadvantages, and socialization is one of them. It is important to know that before you send off the dog to another world, the dog should have received proper training and socialization when he was young, to prevent unwanted behavior towards the new owners. But in Miley and Liam’s case, it’s still okay because Ziggy is still a young pup and doesn’t have vivid memories yet. It means there’s still a wider world for it to explore and have fun.

Now I wonder who will be the next celebrity to either give or get a gift dog after Miley Cyrus’ boyfriend got a dog for a birthday present?
