Miley Cyrus Loses Another Dog

Just a few short days after losing her beloved Yorkie, Lila, Miley Cyrus is forced to make another tearful goodbye to her English Bulldog, Ziggy.

Miley Lila
MIley Cyrus’ beloved dog, Lila, was tragically killed by another of her pets, an English Bulldog named Ziggy. Photo courtesy Miley Cyrus.

Despite speculation that Lila was sick, Miley’s mother Tish revealed on her blog that the Yorkie’s death was, in fact, caused by Ziggy. The family isn’t certain if Ziggy was playing with Lila or if a tragic fight broke out between the pair, but in the scuffle, Ziggy picked up Lila. The tiny dog didn’t survive.

Tish Cyrus explained to fans,

The way that Lila was taken from her was beyond terrible.  Sometimes things happen that we just cant understand.  Miley still isn’t ready to talk about it, but I thought you guys should know what happened.

For some unknown reason,  Ziggy…….. grabbed Lila.  Not really sure if she was playing or what?  She grabbed her in just the wrong spot and Lila didn’t survive………….  Please understand that Miley isn’t ready to talk about this and we dont think Ziggy is a mean dog……..  We took Ziggy to SPOT dog rescue and they found her a new home with no other pets or children just in case it wasn’t a fluke.  So not only did Miley lose Lila,  she feels she lost Ziggy as well.

The entire experience has been devastating to Cyrus, an avid animal lover and dog rescue advocate. Not only is she feeling the sting of losing one beloved pet, she was forced to make a decision that any dog owner would dread, to rehome another.

Ziggy is now living in a new home, without other dogs or children, just in case her aggression wasn’t a single offense.

Miley Cyrus will, without a doubt, continue her efforts to end dog homelessness, but it will take some time for these tragic wounds to heal.

Miley I am very sorry for you lost. You are a strong loving person and I thank you for helping the pups you have brought in. My daughter and I have 5 adopted dogs in our home (1 beagle, 1 basset hound, 1 pitbull, 1 lad/golden mix and 1 mix puppy not sure of breed but would remind you of a can of Mexican jumping beans we call bean). We want to share our love with you and from this point on our dogs are your dogs, 5 dogs needs 3 owners lol. So you now have 5 extra dogs that you can say belong to you but cared for in another home. We have had to put dogs down for illnesses and yes it is very hard to go through and you mourn them just as you would family and sometimes even more. We will keep you in our prayers. Just a suggestion to help, look into getting on TV helping ASCPA many people look up to you. It would help you to know that you helped many misplaced animals that most have never felt love. Very therapeutic I would believe.

I’M SORRY ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR LITTLE DOG LILA. I KNOW YOU ARE HURTING FROM THE LOSS OF LILA AN THEN HAVING TO PUT YOUR OTHER DOG ZIGGY INTO ANOTHER HOME. WE JUST DON’T KNOW WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN IN LIFE AS IF WE DID WE WOULD MAKE SURE BAD THING’S NEVER HAPPENED. IT’S NOT YOUR FAULT OR EVEN THE DOG’S FAULT AS WHAT HAPPENED COULDN’T BE KNOWN AS ALL SEEMED TO BE ALRIGHT WHEN YOU WERE HOME WITH THEM I WOULD ASUME. IF NOT I’M SURE YOU WOULDN’T HAVE LEFT THEM UNSUPERVISED. ANYWAY I PRAY GOD WILL HELP YOU TO GET OVER THE LOSS OF YOUR LOVED LILA AN ALSO TO HELP YOU THROUGH HAVING TO GET ZIGGY INTO ANOTHER HOME EVEN THOUGH I’M SURE YOU LOVE HIM TOO. IT WILL TAKE SOME TIME AN YOU WON’T FORGET BUT YOU MUST GO ON AN GOD WILL HELP YOU THROUGH THIS TRAGEDY.. HUG’S TO YOU..

WHEN YOU WANT TO YELL AT SOMEONE IN EMAIL, YOU TYPE IT ALL OUT IN CAPITAL LETTERS! LOOKS LIKE NO ONE TOOK THE TIME TO TEACH YOU EMAIL ETIQUETTE. Gloria, sweetie, I want to read your contribution to this discussion, but can’t, won’t, take the time and effort to slog through YOUR MESSAGE IN ALL CAPS.

If one types in ALL CAPS, it is considered very rude – equated to shouting – and, again, just plain rude. Most people won’t take the time to read a message in all caps. If you take the time to type your thoughts, and want your message to be read, and it’s in normal Capital letter at beginning of sentence but lower case letters in the remaining sentence, then it’s about 99% sure-thing it will be read. Final words are to please use mixed cases (caps & lower case) to read your message more easily.

Some people just like using capital letters. I’d rather see Capital letters than hear shouting, if I believe your mode of thinking. It’s a world out there. Different strokes for different folks

First of all you don’t dye pets pink or any other color. You should have NOT left a small dog alone with a large dog, because the small one is just that, SMALL. I have a med. size bulldog who is very passive. BUT, I would not leave him alone with a small dog. You needed a babysitter. I am an animal lover and I am sorry for your loss. I would not have given up the bulldog, if you loved him you would not have, don’t blame him, you don’t really know what happened.

I agree with Carolee 100%!!! You need to take a look at whose fault this really was. Loving a dog doesn’t mean you give it away because it was bigger than the other dog you had. They should have been separated like Carolee said, and you should have been more observing!
