Olympic downhill ski champion, Lindsey Vonn, announced Tuesday that a knee injury is forcing the gold medalist to sit out of next month’s Winter Games in Sochi.

While Vonn is devastated at the lost opportunity to compete, she’ll have a new furry friend to comfort her!

Yesterday, the Olympian visited an animal shelter in Jupiter, Florida and found her perfect match in Leo, an adorable brindle boy that’s also dealing with a knee injury after being struck by a car.

Lindsey, who will soon undergo surgery to repair her knee, and Leo will be recovering together!
