We just discovered this recall that was posted to PetSmart’s website on March 22. Procter & Gamble has issued a recall of several lot numbers of Iams Shakeables Turkey dog treats and Iams Shakeables Lamb dog treats due to possible mold growth.
Affected Iams Shakeables Turkey and Lamb dog treat formulas include 6-ounce cans marked with the following lot numbers:
2342, 2325, 2331, 2332, 2341, 3016, 3017, 3018, 3046, 2338
You can find the lot number printed on the bottom of each can. Look at the first four digits:
Consumers who purchased the recalled Iams Shakeables Turkey dog treats and Lamb dog treats should immediately stop feeding them and contact Procter & Gamble at 1.877.894.4458, or return the item to the store where purchased.
The following notice was posted on the Iams website:
To avoid confusion, we want to let you know about an action we took regarding Iams Shakeables treats.
We requested retailers to remove a few lots of these treats from their shelves because they had the potential to get moldy. We’ve received no reports of dog illness due to the mold, but these treats do not
meet our quality standards. If you have more questions, please give us a call at 1-877-894-4458 (Monday through Friday, 9AM to 6PM ET; Saturday 10AM to 2PM ET.Here are the lots that we requested retailers to remove:
