I would just say to Rosie and her family, so sorry for you loss of your dear Nicky. Last month I had to say goodbye to my Cocoa, she was also a member of our family for 13 years. She had a wonderful life with us but she had became increasingly ill. I had to make the difficult decision to let her go. I cried for days. I still miss her dearly and there are days I think I still hear her bark. However I do have another dog that keeps me busy but no dog will replace our dear Cocoa. So I know how you are feeling. But I am sure you took very good care of Nicky and gave her a very good life and she loved you guys very much and thanked you for that. Take care.

All my sympathy & best wishes. He looks like my 15 1/2 yr. old “Rowdy” who passed away last summer. I still miss him.

I am sad for Rosie’s loss of beloved Nicky. I can see in his eyes his discomfort and sadness. Pets I think know their time is near. I had to put down a 15 year old Shepherd mix, both hips were losing function and I
couldn’t lift him up or carry him. We would go for a walk–he was a walked dog all his life, never had accident in house, but when he squated
he would sit down in his business. He went deaf at 13, but was the best boy ever-also a rescued puppy; in middle of street, in rain.
I know Rosie’s sorrow, it is the loss of a family member, and we grieve dearly for our lost pets, and for those of us who believe, they will be waitng at the Rainbow Bridge when our time comes, along with all our other gone before animal babies…..
