When Shannon Lorio crashed her car on a rural road, a stray dog emerged from the woods and came to her aid. Pulling her out of the car and dragging her over 100 feet back to the street, the dog enabled Shannon to flag down a passing vehicle and save her life.

If not for the action of a stray dog lost in the woods that day, Lorio certainly would not have survived.

Today, this very special boy, now named Hero, is being trained to assist in search and rescue efforts – a job he’s obviously a natural at!
