It’s a real rags-to-riches story! Busch has named their newest executive officer, Ethan, as ‘Chief Tasting Officer’ for the beer brand’s new product, Dog Brew!
Last year, Busch released its first-ever product made not for fans, but for its fan’s dogs: Busch Dog Brew. The alcohol-free, bone broth brew provides owners with the perfect opportunity to crack a cold one with their favorite canine companion, and the initial response from Busch lovers was overwhelming, with the first batch selling out in just 24-hours. This year, as Busch Dog Brew expands, it needed expand its Senior Leadership Team to include a four-legged member with a discerning palate—a Chief Tasting Officer (CTO).
In April, Busch put out a call for applicants for the coveted position at the company. A very important role, Busch needed to best good boy or girl to take on tasks including leading the expansion of Dog Brew’s flavor portfolio, taste-testing, and to fulfill duties as an ambassador for the product.
After considering applications for several weeks, the company finally found its newest senior executive, Ethan. They announced the amazing news on Facebook:
“We reviewed many great candidates for Chief Tasting Officer, but we’ve finally found our top dog. Meet Ethan! He had a fur-rific resume and story that will inspire us for years to come. Ethan was found abandoned and fighting for his life in the Kentucky Humane Society Society parking lot, but beat all odds to become the healthy, good boy he is today. Ethan is known for inspiring those in his local community and will continue to inspire more as our official Dog Brew Chief Tasting Officer. Please give him a round of apPAWs! Thank you to all the pups who entered!”
This job is not just for show, and has some very real perks like an enviable salary of $20,000, healthcare (AKA pet insurance) and stock options (AKA Busch Dog Brew made with pork bone broth).
Before landing his important new gig at Busch, Ethan became Louisville, Kentucky’s most famous rescue dog, after he was found abandoned, fighting for his life in the Kentucky Humane Society parking lot. When he was found, the emaciated pup was less than 40-pounds, less than half of the healthy 85-pounds of pure, happy, healthy, goofiness he weighs in at today.
