In an amazing caught-on-tape moment, a four-legged hero proves once again that a dog is man’s best friend – or, in this case, baby’s best friend!

Watch the video below, as a young baby begins to crawl dangerously close to the sea, the family dog stops playing fetch and lies down in the baby’s path, blocking her path toward the crashing waves until mom comes along and scoops her up to safety.

Dogs are truly every day heroes, natural protectors, and just plain amazing.

Jeanne — yes it would have been nice but since she didn’t seem to have time to watch the baby, what makes you think she would reward the dog? Just sayin…

I was thinking the same thing. Why did the dog have to rescue the baby. What a stupid mother.

It would have been nice if she had rewarded the dog…..even a pat on the head would have been nice.
