How can you teach them to not approach a snake when you’re away ?

Teach leave it associated with snake visual, adding progressions of movement; teach olfactory (snake smell) leave it; teach auditory (rattle) leave it. Then combine all three. I taught dogs to then back up immediately, away from each stimulus until the behavior became habitual.
