VIDEO: What is Reward-Based Dog Training & Will it Work For Me?

Have you ever heard of reward based training? Reward based training is a type of training that focuses on teaching the dog what he should be doing and then rewarding those behaviors. By rewarding those behaviors, the behaviors are likely to happen again. From this habits are built.

The video below shows off some dogs that have been trained via reward based training. I wanted to write this article and make this video to show off the results that are possible when using this style of training. All you need to accomplish this with your dog is some high value rewards, an up beat attitude, and a little bit of patience.

    Great video Kevin. Sometimes, it takes lots of patience, but I have found reward based training ton be the quickest way to train a dog. While most think of foods as rewards, my Lab loves playing with the ball or frisbee or sometimes tug as a non-food reward.
