Eclipse is a Black Lab/Bull Mastiff mix who’s quickly become well-known to Seattle’s D-Line bus drivers and passengers, as she’s known to hop on and hitch a ride to the dog park – by herself!
Eclipse’s human companion, Jeff Young, explained that her antics started with constant trips to the dog park together. But, one time the bus arrived before Young had finished his cigarette. Instead of hanging back and waiting for the next bus, Eclipse jumped on board and went by herself!
“We get separated. She gets on the bus without me. And I catch up with her at the dog park,” Young explained.
A spokesperson for Seattle public transit said they love that Eclipse is a supporter of public transportation, but she would be much safer if she had her owner on a leash.
